The teachers are informed, accessible, and truly interested in their students’ academic and professional success. The varied campus community fosters a vibrant cultural environment, while modern facilities provide ideal study and collaboration areas. During my stay there, I loved the emphasis on practical learning and job development. Although the urban setting can be congested and parking is difficult, the proximity to public transportation and major attractions makes it desirable. Overall, my experience was satisfying and enriching.
View moreMy personal experiences at Georgia State University have been incredible. Even outside of the classroom, instructors are frequently extremely consistent and adaptable. They sincerely care about their students’ progress and are good at providing guidance and assistance as needed. It is wonderful to see such passion from the personnel! I hope this gives you a fast overview of what others have stated about Georgia State University teachers, as I am unable to speak from personal experience. They also organize new and creative teaching approaches that make it easier to study while feeling protected and empowered.
View moreA combination of incompetence throughout each layer of the school. Lack of communication, inadequate resources for students, poor teaching, and a plethora of hoops to navigate through it all. On the main campus, walking around police officers and drug addicts are a daily occurrence. Parking is annoying, but at least you can take the bus from turner field for free. Classes were poor, teaching was worse. Advisors had little regard for your future, and would consistently give bad advice. Do not even listen to the advisors here, you’re better off doing your own research and picking the classes you need.
View moreGeorgia State University gives you the full city experience—busy streets, real opportunities, and constant movement. It’s a place where you learn as much outside the classroom as you do inside. The professors are passionate, and there are plenty of chances for internships and hands-on projects, especially with the university’s strong ties to Atlanta businesses. It can feel hectic at times, and getting quick help from admin isn’t always easy, but if you’re motivated and adaptable, GSU gives you everything you need to grow academically and professionally.
