When entering BU, I strongly encourage incoming students to visit the school they plan to graduate from. I was placed in the College of General Studies (CGS). Because I had to complete core courses, I didn’t have much opportunity to explore different fields of study in my freshman and sophomore years. But when I entered the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) to focus on my psychology degree, I enjoyed my experience even more. Now that I’m entering my major, I’m allowed to take several classes that interest me. During my time at CAS, I met a lot of great professors who really loved their subject. My favorite type of class is the seminar, which is only about 15-20 students and is more discussion based. In general, if you choose a degree in psychology, you will be in a good program with many good professors who offer good opportunities.
