Bentley University (reviews)

When the school was founded, it was located in Back Bay neighbourhood in Boston. However, in 1968 the school was moved to Waltham, Massachusetts, in order to expand and develop. As a result, in 1971, the four-year Bachelor of Arts was accredited, and graduate degrees in 1973. In addition, the school was renamed Bentley College.

In 2002, the college opened a campus in Bahrain and it was accredited to confer its doctoral degrees in business and accountancy just 3 years later. In 2008, the school was renamed as Bentley University, as it remains today in 2018, and the current president is Alison Davies-Blake, who took charge in July 2018.

Academics at Bentley University

Currently, Bentley University offers a bachelor of science degrees in 11 business fields such as Business Administration, Finance, and Accounting, and a bachelor of arts in six arts and sciences areas. The graduate school is more focused on the impact technology can make on the practice of business. Furthermore, PhD programmes in Business and Accountancy, 7 Master of Science degrees and an MBA with 16 areas of concentration, as well as a wide range of graduate certificate programmes.

Student life at Bentley University

With a campus stretched across 163 acres, it currently holds over 5,500 students and over 400 hired academic staff. There are several activities on campus, the university has its own weekly newspaper, an annual magazine, on-campus radio station, and an independent record label. In addition, the campus holds 8 men’s fraternities and 4 women’s sororities, which have the main purpose to promote a good academic spirit on campus, and being present in the university’s activities and support the sports teams.
