Engineering 'Class'

The first two years of my course had interesting modules. Although, I felt the examinations were more who could remember what the answers were rather than using any real problem solving skills.

Moving in to 3rd year, we were given a group project which contributed significantly to your overall grade. In some cases this would allow team members to flourish and others to come out their shell but in the majority of cases one member would complete the full project while the other members obeyed.

In terms of the University itself it had all of the relevant facilities required to complete the course. Although, in year 2 there was a fire which led to a large section of the building being closed off.

The Union is by far one of the best in the UK – 8 floors with bars, pool rooms, food places and many other activities. This makes it very easy to socialize with other students at student prices.

There is also great opportunity for students to have semesters/years abroad with the University having several partnerships throughout the world.

Lastly, the location of Strathclyde is perfect for anyone in the greater Glasgow area. The various bus, train and subway routes make it easy to commute.
