English Literature at Strathclyde Review

At Strathclyde, English Literature is an innovative course. It is a course full of material that I find takes a new, less ‘stuffy’ approach to the study of English. The modules cover a wide range of topics, each taught by lectures who are experts in their fields. From 20th century American literature to Renaissance drama, the course is suited to many interests and allows a chance for specification of one’s own studies to suit them. It’s exciting and there are many helpful resources provided online and on-campus- the library has a great range of literature for any English nut! Student halls at Strathclyde are all in one area and so it is easy to meet others in such a close community. The halls are also close to George Square and so the opportunity for nightlife and lots of fun activities is next door. Even though you have to climb what feels like hundreds of steps to get there- the Aldi is close enough to campus to nip out for shopping easily! I feel very proud to be at Strathclyde and love the university’s approach to English and all other aspects of the student experience!
