I completed my BsC Geological Science degree in 2014. The course was quite intense in terms of hours on campus compared to many other courses, but this was necessary for the course content. Professors, tutors and PhD students were very approachable and supportive on the whole. As someone who did not have a Maths or Chemistry A level, I received support to complete extra modules in these. I went through a hard time with my mental health due to issues in my accommodation, and was extremely well supported by my tutors and student welfare staff – my exams were rearranged and I was treated with dignity and respect.
