Academics at The University of Cambridge Judge Business School

CJBS is recognized internationally for providing innovative management education, which is intellectually challenging. Critical reflection and creativity are the focus of academics at the School. CJBS attracts only top students in order to create strong but healthy competition and inspire its students to always achieve more and aim higher. The programmes offered at the School include PhD, undergraduate and masters programmes. Masters programmes’ focus is either on research or professional practice. Programmes for entrepreneurs are also offered at CJBS.

Campus & Student Life

The University’s campus is in Cambridge, which is close to London. There are two airports close to campus, 30 minutes and 90 minutes to London Stansted and London Heathrow respectively, which give students easy access to international transport. They can get to London in order to catch a flight or explore the city using the direct train lines to Kings Cross Station and Liverpool Street Station.

Once accepted, students become members of one of the 31 Colleges at The University of Cambridge. Many students live in College, where they spend time socializing, which creates wonderful opportunities for making friends and expanding one’s network. Most colleges are equipped with their own library, bar and dining hall. A wide range of sports and cultural clubs and societies is offered to students to join and enjoy. Many of the colleges have their own sports grounds and facilities. As members of the University community, students can take advantage of these as well. Different team sports are available at the University along with swimming, golf courses and punting along the River Cam. Cambridge’s nightlife is not staying behind with its availability of restaurants, cinemas, galleries, museums and plenty of other things to do, which is great considering the fact that nearly one-fifth of the total population of Cambridge is composed of students.

Career & Alumni

CJBS students have access to business support through Accelerate Cambridge, which helps students and faculty with the creation of new ventures. Cambridge Enterprise, which is the University’s technology commercialization company, is also at students’ disposal. It offers support with commercializing inventions and turning them into innovations. Thanks to these resources and their own will, innovators at the university and in the local area have started and developed more than 1,600 firms, whose total employee count exceeds 30,000 people. The surroundings of the University include science parks and innovation centres, which highlight the innovative culture in the area even more. The Cambridge Cluster or the Silicon Fen, which is the most successful technology cluster in Europe and one of the most such in the whole world, is located in the area. The University has connections with many of these successful businesses and among the private sector, which creates opportunities for students to enrich their network and discover their career path. The University of Cambridge has its own alumni groups in numerous countries across the globe, whose purpose is to maintain contact between alumni.
