Overall university experience

I have generally enjoyed it, and have been able to do things that outside of university wouldn’t have been possible, though I’ve often felt that I have not had the full backing of my faculty and often wonder if I made the right decision. That is, my experience of studying my course has not made me enjoy the subject more than I did previously; it has only bettered my understanding.

The careers department organises many guest speakers and careers fairs, as well as workshops which have been beneficial in my job search.
Academic support is generally very good, however, the counselling service is drastically understaffed. However, this is the case with most all universities I believe and is cognisant with the government’s stance on mental health.
The accommodation is close to the university, very comfortable. Not so large that I can entertain more than a few people.Terrific. Manchester is large enough to offer everything and yet small enough that you do not feel lost. Also considerably cheaper than London.
