Sheffield Hallam University is a good University and somewhere I would recommend. I had great experiences there however I do feel as though you have to use your own initiative and push to get your opinions heard.

During the three years I spent at Sheffield Hallam, I felt that the main needs and requirements that universities should offer were catered by the university for us as students.
However, I feel that there was a lack of outreach to students, especially during and leading up to COVID-19 which impacted students drastically causing a large dropout percentage.

I also feel that the student’s union was limited in contrast to the vastly superior University of Sheffield with limited events, activities and support groups.

Overall I would recommend Sheffield Hallam University to a student who commutes from another city as I feel that they would benefit from the teaching and be unaffected by the lack of students union and University outreach for students.

Hallam has a very welcoming and supportive environment. The facilities they offer are extremely useful to complete my course.
The university is always kept to a high standard. The professors are passionate about their job and keen to help and engage students. Overall hallam is a great university rhat I would highly recommend.

Personally, I would say Sheffield Hallam University overall is a very good Uni. In terms of my course which is Interior Design, the lecturers are really helpful and the Uni on a whole offers a lot of support to students. All the accommodations are also very close to campus which is great for those early lectures🥲.

My experience at Sheffield Hallam was positive. I got along well with my tutors and found them to be extremely helpful and attentive. The modules within my course were engaging and challenging and covered a range of different topics within the field. The student support offered by the university is also very extensive. Aid is offered for things such as mental health and disability issues, financial trouble, career advice, and more. Overall a good university that I would recommend to others.

I think Sheffield is a great place to study. With two excellent Universities, it is a student city for sure. With Hallam having its campus in the heart of the city and the University of Sheffield just 20 minutes from the center you’re close to everything. I am really enjoying my time and degree here. Hallam have a wide variety of courses and lots of high tec facilities to use. The majority of my course has been in person which I enjoy but there are blended and online courses as well. What I really like is they are always giving you opportunities like a placement year, studying abroad, volunteering etc, it gives you great career prospects.

My time at Sheffield Hallam University has shaped me into the artist I am today. The lectures were very interesting and engaging and always offered further learning. The studios are very friendly and open, making coming and going as needed an easy option. Guidance and advice were given throughout the course and opportunities for any further help were always given. I would highly recommend Sheffield Hallam University as a whole and especially the art and design apartment.

It’s very good University and students would feel it as second home. I personally had great experience. Being an international student, the university atmosphere was warm and pleasant. The staffs are supportive and professors guides the students to excel in their academics. The student support centre also helps and acts in any queries quickly. The facilities are way beyond great. I would recommend this university to all students who want to start their university life for bright future.
