What Is a History Degree?

A report from Georgetown University’s Center on Education illustrates that graduates from History majors have the highest salary amongst graduates from all other humanities majors.
History Degree Structure
History courses are usually a three-year commitment and offer many academic programmes ranging from foundational courses to specialised ones. Some universities even have site excavations, through which students gain more practical knowledge.
Like most of the degrees, any History course concludes with a dissertation in any chosen area of interest.

CharlieGBWelcoming and Meaningful ExperienceI would recommend everyone to attend NTU. From my experience, they have given me as a student all the resources I needed to succeed. The staff are always very friendly and motivated to help you succeed. Whenever I have had an Issue, whether course related or personal, they have always accommodated me.
The campus life is wonderful, I have studied on both Clifton and City campuses, and both have their own specific charms that make the university experience much more worth it. Clifton offers a uniquely welcoming aura, displayed through it’s nature-centred design. And while City lacks the comfort of Clifton, the opportunities it provides are nothing to scoff at.
As for Student Life the NTSU are brilliant. There is a wide range of opportunities for students of all backgrounds to indulge in. whether you’re a drinker or someone who likes to keep it quiet, there will be something the SU can offer. The societies have been a real highlight in my experience, so its something I would recommend to everyone attending NTU.
If I had to give something I felt negatively about, I would probably mention how, at least in my experience, it has felt like some staff aren’t on the same page with each other, which has lead to lengthy communications over certain problems. However, I understand that it is a large institution, and that my problems have eventually been solved.
Overall, I would definitely recommend anyone who is considering to attend NTU to follow through with it. They offer an experience which has made a lasting impact on my life, and I hope it can make an impact on yours too! 🙂

StudentGood all-round support from staffI am currently enjoying my time at NTU. It is a strong university with good staff on hand to support students through their academic studies. Outside of that they have a vast array of sports to compete with something for everyone. I highly recommend this university as it is well located with a strong academic standing.
