Under NO circumstances should you apply to this uni – my experience has been beyond appalling. I attended QM as a part timer over 2 years, here as some of the awful highlights:

– was not informed at all about MSc projects, despite asking tutor. Ended up starting my project 4 (!) months late through no fault of my own
– my course decided to remove all extra-curricular modules on offer without telling students, and I only found out by chance days before the new term started
– staff have very often completely ignored my emails, whether it’s requesting for feedback on an exam, background textbooks for a module or asking whether I can do the MSc project they have on offer
– admin charged me the wrong fees twice, and neglect to tell students important information
– staff consistently messing up the recording of lecturers, resulting in no sound, no video, etc
– zero social interaction between students in the course

The Queen Mary University of London is among the leading universities in the UK. The Faculty here is outstanding and the research environment is very good. The classrooms are equipped with modern audio-visual facilities.

The university really emphasised the career events which was super helpful. For example, there were career events with employers from different companies and they’d speak to us about their experience and give advice. Upon leaving university I had industries I had an interest in.

QMUL is a university in the Eastern part of London with great facilities at that time when I was graduating and many civil projects in place to increase existing facilities. All the studies took place on one campus and dormitories were on campus or just across the road outside the campus. During my studies, I made a lot of friends that left a lot of nice moments together to remember.

Has good facilities and a number of societies and events. Also, has plenty of career opportunities and access to work experience. There are also extra classes if you need help. Overall the experience is really good.

The structure and the design of the courses and how they are conducted gives it the extra points for being a good university. On top of that, the consistent and concerted efforts of the faculty to help students understand the respective modules are like the cherry on top!
