Pros: great range of business-orientated modules, very clean campus, very international, good career prospects, lectures are insightful, there’s an incredible array of opportunities, and there are weekly influential speakers. However, the teaching could be better.
View moreGreat professors and fellow students that inspire you every day. The campus is in the center of London which gives students easy access to both university-related and non-university related activities.
View moreMy overall experience at LSE was positive, especially thanks to the people I have met and international exchange opportunities. However , there was several issues with professors, and sometimes learning objectives were somewhat obscure.
I would suggest LSE to separate the course so that people who already studied management in their undergrad have greater choice of electives.
View moreI joined the LSE this year as a Masters student and have noticed the following pros and cons:
Pros: Most Lecturers are very good, with some being outright superb and I will remember their wisdom for years to come
Pros: Great selection of modules, perhaps selection is actually too much leading to timetabling ussues
University doesn’t seem to be sacrificing teaching quality just to hire the best researchers
Pros: Can always find space in the library
Pros: Cute campus, feels safe and at home
Pros: Great programme and course representatives
Cons: Buildings, schedules, timetabling, everything is more complicated than it needs to be. Apparently LSE’s timetabling is one of the most complicated in the world and the mess shows when trying to arrange your own modules for the semester. Library is an architectural mess with long stairs that cause everyone to wait for the lifts and swamp toilets. “No food” rule in some buildings is extremely annoying
View moreAt LSE, you interact with driven individuals, whose motivation either stems from wanting to make a lot of money or wanting to make a difference. It’s located in the heart of London, and there are always things to do in London. Teacher quality has much room for improvement though, with many professors appearing unenthusiastic and lacking the flair for engaging with students.
