My experience at London Metropolitan University was great. The university gave me the chance to become fluent in English and provided a strong foundation in criminology and the social sector. Additionally, the university organised many activities that helped me build friendships and professional connections.
However, I did notice that students who didn’t actively seek out these opportunities might find it harder to engage with the university community. Personally, I made an effort to connect with other students and take part in activities, which made me feel more involved. While the university is very supportive of international students, making friends and getting involved requires initiative, especially since some students may have other responsibilities outside of university life.
