Lecturers/teachers being specialists in their fields

LSE objectively is one of the best universities in London. My personal experience can be divided into educational, social and extracurricular activities.
As could be predicted, the course I studied – law – was well taught and the content was satisfying with the high quality of teaching. However, a lot depended, at least in my case, on the teacher (qualifications and position at LSE).
Extracurricular activites were well-developed through the LSESU – there is a variety of societies to attend (sports, social, cultural, etc). There are also extra opportunities from Departments and Language Centre.
The least developed side in my experience is the social one – the campus is small with a few bars, the club Saucy was moved from the campus and events sometimes end in unsatisfactory results. However, especially sport societies create many extra opportunities. Another positive aspect is that LSE actively promotes mental-health care through Mental-Health Week for law students. It is also easy to get in touch with peer supporters, LSE counsellors or academic mentors.
