The degree itself is a mathematics degree where various aspects of applied and pure mathematics is studied. Mathematics at university can be challenging due to the increase of proof writing and difficult concepts to comprehend. Also there is a lack of resources relative to prior qualifications (a-leveles. gcses).
in terms of the university, there are many societies to participate and engage with other students.

I think the university is very good, there is a significant amount of research going on and it is among the best in the country. My recommendation would be for more I integration between the students and staff when making decisions (I.e. regarding concerns that students have with the lectures or the way things operate around Uni). Another recommendation would be more transparency within the schools, for example, when all the lectures were called off for students we had to wait many weeks before we found out what was going to happen with assessment for the academic year

Really good social university, excellent student Union with stalls every week, good campus facilities. Good resources, teaching could sometimes be better and can be difficult to catch up on lectures.
