Teaching is excellent in terms of the module content, tutors are supportive in terms of learning aspects, they have a friendly environment, however, they are not as diverse and mental health-friendly as they claim.View more
Studying at Leeds Trinity University for me was a great experience because besides learning about theories, frameworks etc. we also had to undergo a month long placement in year 1 and 2. Those placements helped me to better understand what I am expected to do after graduation. The tutors are extremely helpful and part of the placement program is to build the CV, which I found extremely useful.
Social life at University is great as there are a lot of events going on. And you can also join many clubs, so it is really easy to socialise and find new friends.
The main negative aspect for me is the location of the University, as I live close to the city centre and to get from there to campus by public transport takes around 50 minutes.View more
Teachers are consistently engaged and available for discussions and questions whenever students need advice on their coursework. The university itself is smaller than most, with a focus on workplace experience and ensuring that their students are happy and their needs met at any opportunity. A very diverse community with plenty of resources on equality and awareness in order to instil tolerant values within the students. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to be a name, not just a number.View more
Leeds Trinity University is a good uni with supportive staff. Although a small campus this makes for a great atmosphere and maintains high levels of service and support when in need, this makes you feel valued as a student. The uni has such a community feel and all the professors I have encountered either through my taught lectures or in passing have been happy to stand and chat to make sure everyone feels welcomed and there are no problems.
The courses are well planned even despite covid, the teaching is great and I feel I am getting the most out of my course, enthusiasm from the lectures makes you love your lectures.
Due to having a small campus and a good 80% of students living on campus covid is a big deal and there are rules in place to help us all stay fit and well. They have taken a blended approach to learning where there is a split with on campus teaching and online teaching, which I personally find great!
The only negatives are the campus is in Horsforth and away from Leeds City Centre so it is quite of out of the way, but is still easily accessible by bus or train. I personally like the area of the campus but I can understand opinions of other students when it comes to things like nightlife.
Overall I think Leeds Trinity University is a great place to come if you’re looking for a smaller uni with a community feel.View more
Although I’m studying online, my experience is amazing. I’m learning
a lot. The online lectures are nice and insightful. The lecturers are experienced and supportive. Now moving on to writing a dissertation and it’s like my time is almost over.
