The University of Glasgow is an internationally renowned higher education institution which provides top quality teaching, mentoring and opportunities. It’s ‘world changers’ outlook allows students countless opportunities to be taught by highly qualified teachers, bringing various cultural perspectives to the university, as well as various opportunities to connect with institutions around the world. Personally I particularly benefited from being able to study abroad twice, allowing me to practise both languages. I also received scholarships from the university in order to fund these periods. I found most staff to be helpful and passionate in their subject area. I would have liked for there to be more course choices which corresponded directly to language learning, such as more translating and interpreting courses. However, aside from this, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
