I was one of those unlucky students interrupted by covid. No one knew what was happening, how we were to continue, especially being a really hands-on course. I ended up repeating my second year, and not getting much better at it either. My tutors were a wild mix of understanding and blaming me and I didn’t know where I stood half the time. However, I pushed through and, with the help of a counsellor and personal mentor, have made it to (nearly) the end of the year. This course is a challenge. If you’re advised to do a foundation year DO IT, the tutors know far more than you do about what the course is like and if you are ready for the jump.
