University life is great. The Student’s Union is really good and there’s loads going on! I’m impressed with my course; I have some of the best people in their fields teaching me. The City nightlife is the best.
View moreBest aspects are the student union, so much is taking place for students with a variety of interests. From sports to standard activities. The campus is lovely with nice buildings (assl aside). This is cancelled out by the csl and student union however, two great buildings for study and other activities. I enjoy cardiff as a city. Issues are student support, I have an issue with my loan that I’m waiting on the university to sort out. It’s been two weeks since my last email and I’m still yet to hear back. Also the majority of my assignments have been returned late. The course itself feels lacking in terms of new material compared to what I learned.
View moreMy instructors and the staff at Cardiff University, where I recently completed my BA, deserve nothing but admiration because they worked so hard to help us succeed. But despite Cardiff University’s best efforts, I still attend; they frequently take stupid decisions that are meant to make life more difficult for the students who are currently enrolled. I’m not aware of any school that cares much about the health and wellbeing of its students once they have your money. Go to a superior university that appreciates its students unless, like me, they offer a course you really want to take but that is offered nowhere else.
View moreStudying Modern Chinese, the lecturers are all native Chinese/Taiwanese but ensure their language skills are perfect in order to teach us.
They check their emails constantly, including out-of-office hours, in order to make sure that we (students) remain happy and up-to-date with the workload.
Overall I couldn’t recommend Cardiff University’s School of Modern Languages highly enough.
