Cambridge Regional College is a further education institution in the heart of the student city of Cambridge. The college offers Access to Employment and Access to Higher Education programmes in a wide range of subjects. Cambridge Regional College is one of the largest college to provide full-time further education for 16 to 19 year-olds in the Cambridge area. Students come from nearby towns to take courses in fields such as hair and beauty, as well as media. The apprenticeship programmes are also an important part of Cambridge Regional College. More than 4 000 full-time (and 6 000 part-time) students chose Cambridge Regional College as their further education provider. Most of them are aged 16 to 19, the rest are mature students, studying mostly Access to Higher Education courses or vocational courses.
