This university is regarded as one of the best in the world. They provide a welcoming environment that enhances the lives of the students because each one of them has a sense of community and a desire to study.

A wonderful university with a lovely campus.
I’m a huge fan of UOB! My course is interesting, and the campus is quite pleasant and wide. There aren’t enough study areas, and the library is almost always crowded, but the institution recognizes this and is striving to address it.
Overall, it is a good university, and the city is not too horrible. Although there are large numbers of Chinese students in some faculties, the majority of them do not actively participate in lecture discussions, which made group work difficult for me.

The course, on the whole, is well taught, and has the content is balanced between accounting, finance and other similar topics. There is good support from the business school and careers network for extracurricular activities and career opportunities as well. On the other hand, the course and business school both have issues with communication and online teaching, especially during Covid.

What I really love about this University is that all the lectures are really engaged with the modules they are teaching us. We have a mixed delivery of lectures, which allows us to think more analytically. I also love the thing that they are not giving all the information on a table, but they are expecting us to do our research and consider all the sides of the subject. What I don t like, is that now, maybe because of brexit, they are struggling with the organisation of the lectures and all the staff. But I really think this is a temporary situation and it will be solved soon.

It is very specialized for the future career that I’m targeting on with well-schemed modules and it provides various opportunities for career development and diverse experience outside of major studies.

The university is filled with great facilities. The faculty is friendly and helps you with any issues you have. The student life here is great too as there are many people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. The only concern is how we are in one building however the new campus is opening up soon so looking forward to that.

I have enjoyed my first year at the Univeristy so far. We have about 500-600 students on campus but I think the advantage we have over here in Dubai is the personalized touch we get from professors as we’re not many in one class compared to the 100-200 students in one lecture back in the Birmingham branch. We have the faculty from the Birmingham branch fly over here and teach which is a delight. Also, the environment is pretty chill and very social, you get to meet so many people form different backgrounds. The University facilities are great too.

Red bricks university and modern facilities. Plenty of extracurricular activities and active student unions. The uni also provides career planning programme and internship opportunities for students.
