Students develop strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, which are highly demanded by employers in both the private and the public sector and result in graduates often finding employment in large multinational organizations that offer professional services such as PwC, KPMG and Deloitte. Accounting & Finance degrees are mostly practically oriented. They allow students to put the knowledge and skills they acquire on a daily basis to practice through simulated and real-life business accounts management and work placement opportunities.
Most Accounting & Finance degrees are professionally accredited by professional bodies, such as ACCA, AIA, CIMA, ICAEW and CIPFA, which provides students with the opportunity to become chartered accountants. Students gain professional qualifications in accountancy, which eliminates the need for additional certifications after graduation.
Due to the nature of the Accounting & Finance Degree, which complements business-related subjects, students often have the opportunity to complete a joint honours degree.
An Accounting & Finance degree’s duration varies depending on the country and degree level. Four years is the regular time of completion of this degree in other countries, such as the United States.

The second year’s focus is usually on managerial and business economics, financial control, corporate finance and company accounts, but optional modules might enable students to pursue their interests in other aspects of Accounting & Finance such as auditing or strategic business analysis. At this point, students studying at Higher Education Institutions in the UK could choose to take an industry placement in order to apply the theoretical concepts and the acquired knowledge to practice in the professional environment. The next stage of this degree is dedicated to further-developing students’ knowledge of financial and management accounting. The environment of this university is really positive. Lots of athletes join this uni mainly cause of the multiple sports grounds the uni has. The courses are very detailed and do help you to secure a Job in the region.
However, you cant do an extensive internship with the course, as assignments can seldom pull you back.
View moreLove the work life balance Abu Dhabi university provides. I am able to manage my internship along with my accounting degree. A main point to highlight is the sports facilities and the dorms which is inside the Uni, very nicely maintained. The accounting degree is a 7.5 on 10.
View moreProffessors are very supportive and guide you in almost every way possible.
They even entertain any queries after their work hours and it’s pretty much like a family sort of feeling.
They have a really big ground for football and athletics, and for a person like me who is a sports fanatic, it’s a great boon.
Overall fantastic university, and has good scope for getting jobs in GCC region.
View moreI am a 3rd year Accounting student in ADU, and must really acknowledge the efforts and personal touch the professors put in to help students understand the concepts. There have been countless times when I have asked help from professors outside the working hours and they have never hesitated.
On the other hand the campus is massive has all the sports grounds and the Dorms are neat and tidy as well.
FEE structure is very easy going, as they allow students to pay fees every month, instead of a one time payment like many other unis in dubai.
Overall a must recommend.
View moreThe campus is very good, they have an athletic ground, football, basketball and cricket grounds. Being a sports person this really helps my case and assists me in training daily after classes, as there is considerably a decent amount of free time,.
The courses available are quite versatile, and Abu Dhabi university graduates have a decent future in getting jobs in the GCC.
Would recommend it to international students as well, as the dorms are spacious and living in the capital of UAE (Abu Dhabi) reallly assists in having a social life.
View moreI actively took part in the mentorship program to support those who were just starting out and assist them in overcoming obstacles. The professors encouraged critical thinking, which is essential for career growth. It was easier to put the lecturer’s advice into practice because it was directly applicable to tasks performed on a daily basis.
View moreIn my opinion, Abu Dhabi University is a very good institution, and I am happy to be a student there. The university goes above and beyond for its students academically, and as I have observed, despite the challenging circumstances, it still managed to finish the semester on time. The atmosphere at the university is very friendly, and while I greatly appreciate that, there are a few things I would like to see improved, namely the professors’ sometimes difficult and rude behavior toward their students, which also has an impact on our grades, and their lack of compassion when it comes to personal matters.
View moreI studied in ADU Alain campus from 2014 till 2018 and had the worst learning experience ever the staff, the teachers, and the management is occupied by one nationality only, the deans are old playboys who hire little girls and there was so much gossip, I spent my time chatting, eating and drinking coffee since no one was interested to teach, and the worst thing is that they make you work for free in open days in learning support centers or you don’t get appreciation at the end of the semester, sometimes they will say they want to hire students than when you get accepted they ask you to work for free, and I nearly spent 140,000 dirhams on a useless university degree, and the worst thing is when you graduate you find out that no one wants to hire you because you graduated from AbuDhabi university.
