As a student in the Business program at the University of Kigali, I’ve found the experience to be both enriching and foundational for my future career. The program offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and real-world application, which I believe is essential in today’s dynamic business environment.
One of the key strengths of the program is the quality of instruction. Most lecturers are not only knowledgeable but also friendly and willing to engage with students beyond the classroom. The course content is well structured, touching on core areas such as management, finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship, which prepares us to think critically and act strategically.
Another strength is the university’s growing network and reputation in Rwanda and the region. There’s increasing emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation, which aligns well with the development goals of the country and gives students a chance to think beyond traditional career paths.
However, there are areas that could benefit from improvement. I believe more practical exposure like case studies, industry guest speakers, workshops, and internships would greatly enhance the learning experience.
In a nutshell, I’m proud to be part of the University of Kigali’s business program. I believe it lays a strong foundation for future leaders and entrepreneurs. As a student representative, I would be committed to voicing student concerns, strengthening communication between students and faculty, and advocating for enhancements that benefit our academic and professional growth.
