l am studying in Aksaray university, l like my university and my teachers. There are many activities for students and you can enjoy your free time with use these activities. There are also disadvantages of this university such as transportation is really problem because buses are mostly full of the people and it is not comfortable. The library is very small and there are not more books.

Aksaray University is the fastest growing university in Anatolia founded after 2000.Aksaray University has 11 faculties, 3 vocational schools and 7 vocational schools with pre-license and undergraduate education. Post-graduate education is carried out within the universities of science, health and social sciences institutes. Our university has a total of 24633 students. Although it does not have many social areas, it is a university which has many opportunities for students to develop themselves. It is very close to big cities such as Ankara, Konya, Nevsehir, Cappadocia, Kayseri and historical tourist areas. Transportation is very easy. Its history and culture are also quite wide. is one of the most important universities in Central Anatolia.

The things which i like are the atmosphere at the university. People are friendly, foods are cheap, audutories are well arranged and the important one is to be able to get Erasmus grant. However there are some things which should be improved. For example, in terms of internationalizing, socializing, and some opportunities for students to spend their free time.

I’m in this University just for 5 months or 6 months and i saw many things good
and they have a very good Teacher and very good studying
but this University need Computer Engineering Section , because this is not in University
i think for this University to be better must open more Sections
this is my point
but this University is very good

I’m a student in this university. I have been since 2016. This university getting better every year. But our computer lab is not enough. I study management information systems so it’s hard for us. We need new and more computer.

Aksaray city is verry small. I don’t do anythink in this city. Thanks god Ankara is near the Aksaray. We sometimes go to Ankara for enjoy. I think this city also very cheap. Some friends said ”Bus is expensive” I disagree. We have more bicycle in our university, we ride a bike free first an hour in everyday. Aksaray university is not green, It doesn’t have tree 😀 I like university but I don’t like Aksaray city…

In order to complete the chapter, I would like to convey to you that I have received an education that I would not anticipate at a spike university. Both the academic staff and the instruments and technological materials we use are provided at a high level and clean environment.

And from there, those who think about this section will need to consider these two features creates a science man.

At our university, there are very high-level hours, not scientist candidates but scientists. Because the achievements and achievements that they have achieved have been rewarded by high institutions.

It is nearly in the middle of Turkey and it is close to Ankara. It is a new university, it has worked since 2006. I think, there exist many things that could be improved. Firstly, it should ask for higher marks for entering this university in the university enterance exam. It will enable the university to improve the quality of the departments. Secondly, there should be much more social activities, it is necessary for students to improve themselves
intellectually. Finally, the students usually feel the oppression of city culture, it is actually highly conservative. So the university should have some projects for progress of the city culture.

Hi the future students who think to come here,

I am working as a technical expert in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, ECE, at Aksaray University. First thing what you have to know about our university is that Aksaray university is a very new established one, in 2006, and the ECE department started to accept students for undergrad education is in 2013. In Turkey, it requires at least 20 years for a university which can be defined as a rooted and reinforced educational institution. The same time is valid for a strong department as well.

Aksaray is a small but very nice Anatolian city which locates in the middle of Turkey and which is very close to some touristic zones such as Cappadocia, Ihlara Valley, Mount Erciyes, Ankara which is capital, Konya which is the spiritual city cuz of Jalaluddin Mevlana Rumi, and Mersin which is a great seaside city. Going to mentioned these cities from Aksaray is taking just around 2 hours and the fare for buses are around €5. There are a lot of nice cafes where you can find Turkish tea, coffee, and soft drinks. However, I am sorry to inform you about the fact that finding a pub, disco or places at which alcoholic beverages served in Aksaray is very hard, maybe even impossible. This is a little Anatolian town and most of the people of this city observe their religious senses, but they are not fundamentalist at all, they are really decent and hospitable ones. Also, this doesn’t mean you can’t find any alcoholic beverage at all, you can buy it from liquor stores and supermarkets to drink at your home with friends.

As I mentioned before, Aksaray University is a young one. You will find university staff very friendly, helpful, and sincere. Any person among the university personnel is full of good intention on her or his behavior. Almost in every department at University Campus, minimum one of the academic personnel know English very well, so you will not have hard time to communicate with your department. The university student profile is kinda cosmopolitan: Mostr of the students are nationalist or conservative, and the rest of them is open-minded and secular.

And now, last but not least, I would like to talk about Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The academic staff of the department is quite qualified and strong on their academic area. Half of them obtained their Ph.D. or M.Sc. degrees from popular universities in Europe and U.S. The other half, also, has degrees from the best universities in Turkey. Laboratory infrastructure is enough for undergraduate education. The only problem in this department arises from the students who don”t know the value of their department and their education. Most of students in this department is aimless, and unmotivated for their job area and even their future. This fact causes a mentality incompatibility between these current students and the highly educated academic staff. Since the department has been new yet, this problem will be overcome with years and with new students in future years.

You will have some good time, maybe not best, by choosing Aksaray University. As being helpful administrative or academic personnel, we can’t wait to see you prospective students to come here. I wish you all guys a wonderful, colorful and successful student life!
