The Higher Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology of Sousse or ISSATSO is a scientific institution under the University of Sousse (Tunisia). It is created pursuant to the provisions of Decree No. 1385-2001 of 7 June 2001. The institute opens its doors in the spaces reserved for the Preparatory Institute for Engineering Studies and, in this context, the contents of the library and the scientific material acquired during the three years of the life of the preparatory institute are exploited. In 2001-2002, it has three streams of three years each: Advanced Technician in Mechanical Engineering. Senior Technician in Electronic Engineering. Senior Technician in Computer Science. In 2002-2003, a new branch, crowned by a master’s degree in computer science, was created. It consists of four years of study divided into two cycles of two years each. In 2003-2004, two new streams were created (duration of three years of study each): superior technician in fluid and energy technician superior in security and industrial control In 2004-2005, a new sector training engineers in computer science (real time ) is created. Finally, in 2005-2006, a Master of Research in Safety and Security of Industrial Systems was born.
