UM has a decent balance of pros and cons, but your experience will differ based on which programme you’re following. Personally, I found my programme to be quite disorganised, with the workload already being enough of a burden. Most assessments are based on final exams, with barely any assignments to reflect students’ understanding. Assignments given are not properly supervised and can cause distress among students. Professors are either amazing or lack competency for their given role. On a more positive note, the university does have an active student life, with most students joining an association or club, as well as a plethora of events for all people with all kinds of interests.
