

I completed both my Bachelor’s and Research Master’s in Linguistics and Communication at the University of Amsterdam. During my studies, I had the opportunity to explore various areas of linguistics in depth, which allowed me to choose a specialisation early on. I later focused on sociolinguistics, working closely with one of my professors, which ultimately led to my current job. That said, I believe students receive little guidance on their future career options beyond academia, leaving them uncertain about their paths after university.
View moreBe prepared to do a lot of self-studies and to not be that often in uni, especially in the first 3 months. The building is quite old but not the beautiful old, yet the food and service are amazing. The field is pretty vague in the beginning, you’ll learn more about how to write than how the brain works.
