What I love about the UNED is its flexibility and that you generally only take one exam per subject, not having to waste so much time per week on assignments, which makes it perfect to combine with work or other obligations. What I like less is that passing the subject usually consists of studying a single huge manual (550 plus pages) and then taking a multiple-choice exam, which I think does not encourage too much to have the necessary skills to perform as a real professional (perhaps much more focused on continuing in academia). In any case, they continue to update their methods, technologies and didactic strategies.
