No one can deny the small size of the University of La Rioja, like that of the region. This small size allows for some flexibility in the administrative areas and a fairly close relationship with the teachers, with reduced classes (especially in the subjects of Education). Unfortunately, it is also a negative factor of it. It has few resources, and it is impossible to explain how being such a small university, there is so much administrative lack of control.

However, it has very good minimum resources. The university library is one of the best in Spain, and founder of the DIALNET search engine. It has numerous sports services. Although there are very few cultural activities, they do have some of them.
