My master’s study was an ERASMUS MUNDUS Joint programme in Environmental Contamjnation and Toxicology (ECT+) where I had the opportunity to study at four different institutions in Europe (University of Bordeaux (FRANCE), University of the Basque Country, Spain (UPV/EHU), and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Norway), Polytechnic Institute of Leira (Portugal). Each semester lasted for around 5 months.
At the third semester of my study, I was at UPV/EHU so my review is based on one semester spent at this university and comparing it with the other universities I studied at.
Firstly, the university is situated in a very serene location in Spain, with opportunity to meet with local people and tourist in the vibrant city of Bilbao. Most especially during the summer, you will enjoy the beautiful view of the sea and radiant sunlight, so if you enjoy this kind of life, this is the best place to study in Spain.
Then, going to the classroom activities. which is very important, the UPV/EHU have a very good balance between classroom and study activities. Although their course materials are really much sometimes, but the teachers are able to complete them in time so you can focus more on practical. This is very good especially for people who might get bored inside the classroom.
Most importantly, the university also offers career support to easily facilitate finding employment upon graduation.
Comparing with the other three universities I studied at in Europe which I already mentioned above, I will give it a position of 2 out of 4.
Following my studies, and based on my passion for study abroad opportunities and supporting. I am building a very strong students’ network who are also keen on studying in Europe, CANADA, and the U.S.A, and I always recommend UPV/EHU as a top priority
