It is a university that tries to improve but little by little. It needs more investment and advertising, specialize in certain careers and improve the quality of professors. It needs that almost all the infrastructures be modernized and, especially, improve the faculty of philosophy and letters.

The University of León regarding the Degree in Law, my personal experience has been very satisfactory. It is a University that has very good faculty, a faculty close to its students and with a high level of both professors and associate professors, since it has Judges, Magistrates and Lawyers. Perhaps the University of León needs more young research staff. As for the subjects, there is enough level in all departments, in addition to various simulated trials are held during the race. Email and Virtual Campus works quite well. The University facilities are a bit old.

In general, except for some teachers, the teachers have a low level. Many of them go do their work (explain the subject of that day) and go home. They don’t care that it’s learned. They just do their job. They just fulfil their obligations and leave. In my case, being an engineer, I missed more useful practices to put into practice in my professional career and not solve problems in a theoretical way. I have learned more on my own than through university, taking courses or studying things on my own.
In general, I believe that current teaching does not train us to work, it trains us to pass and my engineering faculty was a clear example of this.

Rectors who only talk to people 15 days before the elections. Teachers are generally quite aged. Few or few opportunities to access teaching since practically all teaching positions have an assigned name.

The variety of careers that it offers and that has many specific ones that are not available in places like Madrid. For example, Marketing and Market Research specifically. The location is another strong point of the campus since being all the faculties together breathes a good university atmosphere.

The University of León offers very good facilities, internship programs and exchange programs abroad.
However, its internal management is far from ideal. The curricula are not well defined. Most of the teaching guides are incomplete and the teaching, in many cases, leaves much to be desired.
From my experience, after having studied my entire degree there, I had subjects that I enjoyed, very much, and others that I simply believe that another teaching dynamic would have made them much more useful.
Teachers are outdated, resources are wasted and that makes entering the world of work for students much more complicated.

The University of León is one of the most expensive public universities in Spain, in my case, I studied Energy engineering, and the practices have not been a lot, I would like also mention that I did an Erasmus program which has been a nice experience, and the help and coordination from my university has been good.

I don’t like the university so much, how it works, and the methods used, I mean the presentations from the teachers , most of the times, in my case, had been a loss of time, and unfortunately, for many subjects I had to go to the academy, and pay for it of course, just to learn to pass, and not learn about the subject.

For a small city the university is pretty good, it has good facilities and a good location.
For erasmus students there is a good AEGEE team and there are many activities to integrate into etc. But they do not give much help in your studies when you are on Erasmus, and there are teachers who are very disorganized and the network of the UNI serves nothing.
