I study Computer Engineering at the University of Burgos.
The Polytechnic School is old, but its computer equipment is adequate. It’s increasingly dependent on students bringing their own computer equipment to the classroom/lab, which is understandable.
The teaching staff is generally very competent in their subjects.
The classrooms have adequate furniture, as well as projectors, etc. (and good internet).
The only thing that leaves a bad taste in my mouth is the polytechnic building itself. It’s old and not pretty. This creates a rundown atmosphere, and it’s the opposite of what a new student aspires to.
View moreSome of the subjects are really obsolete or not really focused to the area. It should have more practical classes so we could really learn how to do a real job.
There is no organization and it’s really messy sometimes, they should guide students more often because they told us to do something without a good explanation, they just order homework and we learn by ourselves.
As a student at Burgos University, I have had a rewarding experience overall. The faculty are knowledgeable and approachable, providing strong academic support throughout my studies. The campus environment is welcoming, and the resources available from libraries to online tools have helped me grow both personally and professionally. While there’s always room for improvement in expanding course offerings and modernizing some facilities, I appreciate the university’s commitment to quality education and fostering a close-knit student community.
