A Management degree builds a strong foundation in a wide variety of fields including business, finance, economics and marketing. It develops students’ understanding of business practices, structures, business theory, business strategy and research as well as global economies and financial markets. Doing a Management Degree also allows students to gain skills that enable them to work with financial and numerical data effectively.
Management degrees cover different managerial roles, such as Human Resource (HR) management, hospitality management, innovation management, operations management, etc. They can be specialized into one of the areas mentioned above or follow a more general approach that covers most of these areas.
The range of management degrees is huge and includes Business Management, Management, Marketing Management, etc. They are predominantly offered in the business departments/business schools/management schools of different universities.
One of the main benefits of this degree is that Management is a broad discipline, which keeps students’ career options open.
Management degrees could have a very practical focus, which is an opportunity for students to gain experience in the process of completing their degree before having started their professional careers. Management courses usually offer work placements and practical modules, which include business simulations and business creation in a simulated environment. Acquiring practical experience through these opportunities could make students stand out from the crowd in the job market once they graduate. Research-oriented Management degrees also exist for those who prefer the theoretical aspects of such a degree. Most courses, however, have established a good balance between theory and practice in order to meet the needs of all students.
Management degrees also prepare students to serve the managerial role across a wide range of areas, including HR management, hospitality management, innovation management, operations management, etc. Students can specialize in one particular area or focus on gaining knowledge across all of these areas thanks to the high availability of different management courses.
Additionally, there is a high demand for management professionals in the contemporary business world. Therefore, taking a management course is an opportunity for students to kick-start their careers and occupy a higher position in the organizational hierarchy.
Management courses usually begin by introducing students to different areas covered by the managerial role, such as organizational management, business environment, statistics, accounting and finance, business growth, etc. After the first year, institutions allow students to explore the management discipline into more depth by delivering specialized modules and offering optional modules, which enable students to choose subjects that interest them the most and are most relevant to their career aspirations.
Management degrees take 3 years to complete in the UK. However, their duration could extend to 4 years if students choose to spend a year in industry between their second and third year, which is a popular option among the student community. Setting placement opportunities apart, the duration of a Management degree depends on three main factors – country, mode of study (part-time or full-time) and degree level. Below are listed the approximate durations of Management degrees in the most popular countries for Higher Education in Europe:
Very nice and beautiful campus in Lisbon- Carnide, big garden and beautiful classrooms. Good staff and teachers, lots of professional events with career oportunities. I can do my master again there, really liked to study in UE.
View moreI am studying here now and I think it is an excellent decision that I have made, I have nothing negative to say about the university. So far everything is correct! With a very good location and facilities.
View moreI had a nice experience at this university, I learned a lot from all the mixture of cultures that I was able to get to know, thanks to having shared a classroom with classmates and friends of different nationalities. Also, the teachers were excellent guides in the subjects I took there and they always answered all my questions.
On the other hand, the university is big, it has many spaces to study, the library is well stocked and the gym is incredible. In addition, it has a beautiful lake that beautifies the view.
I would honestly live this incredible experience again.
Short-term ROI isn’t everything, of course. Still, Universidad Europea MBA prestige is gaining attention within the EU MBAs, good connections, and a robust alumni network are becoming important, 120k average salary after a couple of years after graduation (Spanish market).
View moreIf you are looking to learn and study with connections to the rest of the world, this is one of the best universities to do so in Spain. I studied sports management and I went to Madrid for 6 months study at the Universidad Europea Real Madrid, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. The connection between cultures and languages were awesome.
View moreThey don’t give anything for having matrícula de honour, the teachers are very nice and want that you understand what they explain, you can really ask anything. The classes are smaller than other universities and it helps to have strong relationships
View moreI loved everything, the methodology in my opinion was something new, a unique experience, the teaching was different from my country of origin. And with the students. Being from different countries we do not get to acculturate with different people, thoughts, criteria, exchange culture and knowledge, it is favorable.
The double degree should have the option of being online, or at a distance, electives for those who cannot travel for work (I missed classes, subjects, I did not get to take the final exam, because I had to travel outside of Madrid, at work I did not They gave permission, there should be a way to develop it as a question evaluator with a short time to answer….. at least, in order to have other alternatives, without having a fixed schedule that gives a deadline of days to enter with a a certain time, not as they raised an example that must be entered at 11 am and ends in 40 minutes….. they said there was flexibility for the student to enter at night or in the afternoon or day or early in the morning…. .but from the time you enter, time will run and thus be able to take the exam) thank you.
I would have loved to have had a degree in Accounting….
I consider that the European University good as a private university since it helps you to get business contacts once you finish your degree. I am currently in my third year. I feel that I have learned a lot about the labour market, although obviously, it is very different to be in it than just seeing it at university. I also think that the student support services should improve a lot at this university since it is a very expensive university and prices should be justified by helping students.
View moreThe classrooms are fine, classmates are good, and the teachers are generally fine. There is good food in the cafeteria. They have a library to study, good parking, in general, the facilities are good.
View moreThe best thing about UEV is how international it is! You meet people from everywhere. I was attending another university before transferring there and that was the best decision I’ve ever made. The professors are always willing to help us better our understanding – they provide tutorial sessions, some courses are quite challenging and no matter how much I may complain, it pushes me to improve. I’ve discovered so much about myself in terms of academics. That’s not just it. When I walk into the building I feel safe and welcoming, the people are always so nice. For annoying who is outgoing and extroverted going there would probably be one the best thing, you’ve ever done.
