When I started at ESCAC, it truly felt like the beginning of a dream. At the time, the university didn’t yet have its own building. We were studying in the wing of a religious school in Barcelona, sharing the cafeteria with students who had nothing to do with film. And still, the energy was electric.
What made the experience special wasn’t the setting, it was the people. The teachers were deeply engaging, and the visiting lecturers, even those who came just for a few days or a week, were absolutely fascinating. Many of the students have gone on to become highly successful filmmakers, which today adds extra value to ESCAC’s reputation.
My classmates were incredibly creative and passionate. There was a constant exchange of ideas, experiments, and enthusiasm. It felt like a living, breathing creative lab.
What ESCAC taught me most is how dreams can evolve into real, tangible projects, even in imperfect conditions. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a hands-on, inspiring environment that will push you to grow both artistically and personally.
