History

Founded in 1992, Alfonso X el Sabio University was the first private educational institution authorised by Spanish officials in 1993.

The Academic Degrees offered by the university are in the fields of Health and Sports Sciences, Engineering and Architecture, Education, Translation, Social & Legal Studies.

UAX offers internship programmes to prepare students for labour market demands and to make them apply all the knowledge they learn during college courses.

Most of the courses are taught in Spanish, except for a few subjects in the Applied Language Faculty. So students need to have basic knowledge of Spanish. At the same time, the university offers free Spanish language courses for foreigners (SFL), so that they can easily adapt to the new academic environment.
