Alfonso X el Sabio University - UAX (reviews)

Although I have only been at the university for a few weeks, I have a very positive opinion. During the whole admission process my advisor was close and available to solve all my doubts.
So far the professors are close and they assign you a tutor from the first day who usually sends you follow-up emails.
I am a graduate of another public university and, without a doubt, the treatment is much more personalized at UAX.

Medicine at UAX is a desperation in terms of the poor organization of the subjects and the high grade that they ask you to pass, especially the first courses. On the other hand, the practices in the hospitals are quite complete and good.

An incredibly expensive university that, basically, demands that you have a car, as they demand practicals in outside of the university facilities that are not easily accesible by public transport and yet do not provide transportation. The university does not have a place to eat your lunch, the staff in the cafeteria will shoo you out and there is no other space available for this. The university does not support extra curricular activities as they do not have places to carry them out unless you understand this as a gym. The daily menu is expensive and disgusting. In the veterinary hospital they steal from the students everyday as the locker room does not fit all the students and the lockers are broken and do not have any locking mechanism. I could go on and on, but I’ll leave it here.

I was very lucky to spend my whole one year by studying Master in this amazing University!
The Music Faculty building is in a very comfortable part of the city and it was easily possible to approach it by taking metro from any part of the city.

It was a good experience to study at that university, although on some occasions I did not receive any attention from a professor, but never from my tutors. They helped me by providing information and exercises to improve and better understand each subject, the only thing I did not like is how far away I was from the city of Madrid.

The university is far from the truth, and there are few buses from Madrid that can be reached, 627 from Moncloa and 581 from Principe Pío. The university is very well equipped, everything you need to study in your career you have it, in that sense it is very good, I only know what is in veterinary, has the best veterinary hospital in the country, and the material that there is to practice It is very good and for example there is a microscope per student, which is material is not missing. And for this reason it is so expensive.
