Attending the University of Limpopo was a defining chapter in my journey to adulthood. It was a place where I stepped out of my sister’s shadow…..who was deeply involved in political structures and student representation….and carved my own path. I immersed myself in academic excellence, becoming a tutor at the Centre for Academic Excellence, and taking on leadership roles, including serving as the Treasurer of the Black Lawyers Association Student Chapter.
I also co-founded the Zondeka Makondo Law Project, which gave me invaluable exposure to legal drafting before even entering the corporate world. University was not just about academics; it was about self-discovery. Identity can be complex, but this is the place where you truly start to understand yourself. It’s where you form lifelong friendships that turn into family, balance studying with the occasional party, and before you know it, four years have flown by.
The University of Limpopo was more than an institution….it was a transformative space that shaped the young professional I am today.
