The teaching staff is very dedicated and the subjects focus on the knowledge and abilities needed to work in the medical field. However, the ammount of students enrolled is much higher than the capacities of the college. In the first years there are situations where 150 students are thought in groups of 50 in the same room by 3 different teachers. In the later years, because of the lack of space and teachers, students have to enter in groups of 20 at the same time to speak to a single pacient. Overall, the exaggerated cramming deminishes the yeald of the classes significantly.

Studying at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy was an extremely valuable and enriching experience. The university is renowned for its rigorous academic standards and deep tradition in medical education. The teaching staff are highly competent and approachable, often going the extra mile to help us understand complex medical concepts. The study program is well-structured, combining theoretical knowledge with practical clinical exposure from the very beginning. The university’s affiliations with the most important hospitals in Bucharest provide invaluable practical experience, essential for developing confidence and skills in a medical career. However, the workload can be quite intense, requiring efficient time management and a lot of dedication. The campus facilities are decent, although some areas could benefit from modernization. The student community is diverse and supportive, with numerous extracurricular activities and student organizations to join. UMFCD provides a solid foundation for those aspiring to become medical professionals, although it requires resilience and determination to succeed in this competitive environment.

The student life in general is good but at this uni we are given a lot of materials to learn but in my opinion half of them are useless for our future careers. The biggest problems are the classes and the teachers. They are not really putting effort into teaching us something useful.

I think it is a great place to study, with ITS flaws and disappointments. Overall, students and TEACHERS show great interest, have a big heart and try to help you with all meanings. Though I had bigger expectations, I think I made the right choice coming here and I hope it can offer me a brighter future.
