Studying at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy was an extremely valuable and enriching experience. The university is renowned for its rigorous academic standards and deep tradition in medical education. The teaching staff are highly competent and approachable, often going the extra mile to help us understand complex medical concepts. The study program is well-structured, combining theoretical knowledge with practical clinical exposure from the very beginning. The university’s affiliations with the most important hospitals in Bucharest provide invaluable practical experience, essential for developing confidence and skills in a medical career. However, the workload can be quite intense, requiring efficient time management and a lot of dedication. The campus facilities are decent, although some areas could benefit from modernization. The student community is diverse and supportive, with numerous extracurricular activities and student organizations to join. UMFCD provides a solid foundation for those aspiring to become medical professionals, although it requires resilience and determination to succeed in this competitive environment.

View moreThe university is considered one of the finest medical training institutions in the country. Not sure whether because of the quality itself, or the lack of competition. There are some great, dedicated teachers, who are willing to help students and pass down their knowledge but there are at least just as many uninterested, sloppy teachers. One can find great people and future peers, but also a lot of favoritism and toxic competition.
