I am a second year student of University of Wrocław, studying in the Faculty of Earth sciences and Environmental Management, in frame of Applied Geoscience Master program in English. Generally, University of Wrocław is a good university with an outstanding teaching and practical facilities.

For me, Studying at Uniwersytet Wrocławski has been an incredible experience that truly exemplifies value for money. The university boasts a rich tapestry of academic offerings, combining rigorous programs with an interdisciplinary approach that fosters critical thinking. The faculty are not only experts in their fields but also deeply committed to student success, often providing personalized mentorship that enhances the learning experience. The vibrant campus life complements academic pursuits, with numerous extracurricular activities and cultural events that cultivate a sense of community. The accessibility of resources, from extensive libraries to state-of-the-art laboratories, ensures students are well-equipped for their studies. Wrocław itself is a dynamic city, offering a unique blend of history and modernity, which enriches the student experience beyond the classroom. The affordability of living in Wrocław, paired with the high quality of education, makes Uniwersytet Wrocławski an excellent investment for future leaders.

My experience at Wrocław University has been mixed. On the one hand, the academic programs are solid, but there’s a significant variation depending on the department. Some professors are dedicated and great at engaging students, while others are more focused on their research, which makes them harder to reach and less invested in teaching. The curriculum also lacks flexibility, which can be challenging if you’re balancing work or other commitments. The facilities are a bit outdated in places, especially the libraries and study areas, which are often crowded during exam periods. On the bright side, Wrocław is an amazing city to live in – affordable, full of history, and vibrant. The student community is very active, and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in clubs, societies, and events, which really enhance the student experience.
The biggest downside is dealing with the university’s administrative side. The processes are slow, and getting the simplest tasks done can be a headache. the university is good, but it could improve in several areas to better support its students.

It is a place full of people with passion for what they do. Despite this, the university has big problems with organization, registrations for classes, and also some activities seem to no make sense.
