I learnt a lot at this university, and overall had a good experience. Most of the staff were very student-friendly and supportive. However, some were absolutely abhorrent, especially those at the top of the food chain, which made the whole experience much worse than it could have been. Overall, I liked studying there, but my mental health suffered.
View moreI studied English Philology at Adam Mickiewicz University and was mostly happy with the academic side of things. The professors are highly knowledgeable, especially in literature and linguistics, and they take their subjects seriously. Most lectures are well-organized, and some seminars offer a chance to dig deeper into your interests.
The campus in Poznań is beautiful and close to the city center, which makes it easy to feel part of student life. However, while there are international students, the university could do more to support them—some administrative processes are still only in Polish, which can be frustrating.
Overall, I’d recommend it if you’re focused on strong academic content and don’t mind figuring things out on your own outside class. It’s a good place to grow academically, especially if you’re self-motivated.
View moreStudying at UAM has been an amazing experience! The campus is vibrant and full of energy, and the facilities are top-notch. I especially appreciate the libraries, which are well-stocked with everything I need for my research. The professors are highly knowledgeable and approachable, making lectures both insightful and engaging. Poznań itself is a lively student city with a rich history and culture, offering endless activities outside of class. The support for international students is outstanding, and I’ve made friends from all over the world. UAM fosters a collaborative environment, encouraging us to think critically and challenge ourselves academically. I highly recommend it!
