The University of Lodz is the true heart of the city, which in itself is a treasure trove of knowledge and culture. Studying here is more than just learning – it is also an encounter with the history of Lodz, a place full of unexpected contrasts and a wealth of tradition. At the university, I meet people from different parts of the world, which is incredibly inspiring; getting to know their perspectives, I enrich my view of the world. The university, although full of tradition, is not afraid of change and focuses on development. The departments and laboratories are very well equipped, and the lecturers try to impart knowledge in a modern and practical way. Life in Lodz is a constant journey between the past and the future, and the University of Lodz is its perfect guide. If someone is looking for a place that will help them develop academically, but also personally, this is where they will find their way.
View moreI used to study translation at the University of Lodz. Even though my training lasted one year, I learned more than I thought I would. The lecturers were competent and immensely experienced. Apart from doing regular (manual) translations, I had a chance to work with computer-assisted translation tools. I also had separate classes for consecutive interpretation. And the best thing is that all assignments were always checked by the lecturers, meaning I always got feedback on my work.
View moreIn my opinion teaching in my programmer is without any doubts well conducted. Every teacher has their own method of teaching and due to that lessons are diverse and interesting. We have lots of practical exercises, not only doing tasks from books. We speak a lot even though it’s hard because most of the students have already started learning Spanish. Our English lessons are on level C1 but our goal is to achieve C2 level so we work hard. Moreover, every student has the opportunity of going for Erasmus program in the second year and almost everyone can do it!
