Student review [#54901] for Biological Science
at University of Santo Tomas Manila - UST

The UST College of Science is a leading institution in the Philippines. I took up an accelerate biology program at that time and it led me to complete my degree in three years instead of the usual four years program. I was able to dissect animals to give me a better understanding of their anatomy. In today’s programs, it is different as there are programs now in environmental biology, industrial biology, and medical biology that will help students receive career prospects. This will help students learn that biology is not just a pre-med program to what is usually perceived in the Philippines. There are also professors and research centers dedicated to certain specialties such as phage bacteriology, biodiversity, and human anatomy which can help make committed, competent, and compassionate scientists for the country.
