I have spent a considerable amount of time at this university, and I can say that my experience has been fairly balanced. Evaluating it through three key aspects—facilities, quality of education, and campus culture—has given me a clearer perspective on both its strengths and areas for improvement.

While the university maintains a good standard in terms of quality, it struggles to accommodate its growing student population. Laboratories operate in shifts, limiting equal access even for full classes. Libraries, study lounges, and other public spaces are often overcrowded, making them less conducive to focused work. Additionally, classroom restrictions—though understandable—add to the challenge of finding suitable study areas. Ideally, these issues should be addressed with solutions that truly meet student needs.

The curriculum itself is well-structured and effectively covers the essential aspects of my course. However, a major concern is the increasing departure of faculty members. This ongoing issue weakens an already strained teaching staff and raises the risk of unqualified replacements, which could directly impact the learning experience. The lack of faculty stability affects student morale and limits opportunities for academic and professional growth. Addressing this issue should be a top priority to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality education.

Burnout has become a defining aspect of student life. While students consistently demonstrate academic excellence and the ability to handle demanding workloads, many struggle with engagement beyond their studies. Student activities, which should serve as a platform for enrichment and community-building, often feel more like obligations that drain time and resources rather than meaningful experiences. There is significant room for improvement in fostering a campus culture that supports both productivity and well-being without overburdening students.

While the university offers a solid academic foundation, there are clear gaps in student experience that need attention. My university experience has its own bad and good sides. Considering that I chose a challenging degree program, I already expected the academic workload to be heavy. However, I was not prepared for how many number of units I was going to take each semester. The course program was so draining that many students shifted to another course. I was under constant pressure to do well because of the retention policy and the qualifying examinations that the school had. On the other hand, even though the program has its bad side, I can say that the multiple examinations (departments, qualifying, etc.) helped students be more familiar with different question styles that they may encounter in the actual board exam. This, gave them an edge over others because they got to approach these questions more calmly. The university professors, who were remarkable persons in the field, are very dedicated to teaching students not just theoretical, but also practical knowledge. These teachers are very committed to helping students achieve their goal of becoming a CPA.

For this university, I would say that they do offer great facilities like the library and study lounges that can be utilized for studying and other works that needs to be done. In terms of teaching and learning quality, it does vary, teachers and professors don’t usually use the same teaching methods and paired with students who also have different learning styles can be difficult at some point but I personally try my best to meet them halfway. All in all, the university offers good learning opportunities given that one is resourceful.
