Lahore School of Economics is a good university and provides ample opportunities for personal growth, learning new skills, and career development (just don’t be lazy or you won’t be able to take advantage of the opportunities and build your career). There are activities, guest lectures, coaching sessions, and whatnot. The campus is not glamorous and it’s too far away, literally at the end of the country just 20 mins away from India (yes I have made that journey from the campus).
But one issue that I faced, and was actually shocked, was that how the top management just doesn’t care for its student body. It’s like the typical “SETH CULTURE” where some old people are at the top, who do whatever they please, are infuriated when someone questions them, and well they just think we are all the same stupid, over-clever who want nothing more than to take undue advantage of the system by being selfish. They did not at all help me with a very serious issue (which was completely geniune and I had complete authentic evidence and documents), which was going to seriously affect my transcript and GPA. And this is not just my angry rant, there are countless students who have had the same issue and other issue and concerns as well that were not just ignored but the students were disrespected greatly and unnecessarily.
So if you don’t ever have to encounter these people (and don’t face certain obstacles, problems) and just go about your own studies and try to be active, you will come out a capable and confident individual (if luck is on your side).
