Change yourself by making an impact. No exams, flexibility and fit a busy life.
Superb professional staff that is focussed on your development. Spreading wings and make it fly. Learning from peers together.
I’m currently participating in the Impact MBA Sustainability, Innovation and Leadership program at Tomorrow University, and overall, I’m very happy with the experience. The program is fully online and mostly self-paced, which is perfect for me since I work full-time. Without this level of flexibility, I wouldn’t be able to pursue my studies.
The structure is built around 3-week challenges, where you submit an assignment at the end of each cycle. The assessment criteria are clear, and I find the workload manageable within the given timeframe. That said, it’s also possible to invest significantly more effort and treat this as a full-time MBA experience.
There is one mandatory session per week, usually in the evening (CET). This works well for most students, though I can see how it might be challenging for those in different time zones.
Interaction & Support
Interaction with professors and peers happens regularly on Slack, and I’ve found the response rate from professors to be exceptionally good so far. There’s also strong support, including a group mentor, which is great for guidance.
I’m currently in the orientation phase, and it has served well as an introduction, helping me explore different areas as a total newbie. Depending on the courses I choose in the next phase, I expect that having some background experience may become more relevant.
Technology & Learning App
The learning app works well overall. One thing to note is that students are encouraged to provide feedback at each milestone in the app. While this can be a bit overwhelming at times, I do appreciate that the university actually listens to and addresses feedback.
If you’re looking for a flexible, structured online MBA that allows you to balance work and study while still receiving strong support and interaction, this could be a great option.
View moreI started my MBA at Tomorrow University in September 2024 and was pleasantly surprised right from the start. The course is very different from a “normal” university, as it is set up on a challenge-based basis. This means that there are various challenges at the end with content that you work on in the form of lessons, various live sessions with the respective professor and a paper at the end that you have to hand in. You learn the content extremely well through the deliverable at the end.
The structure is like an online campus. In my course, there are various colleagues from all over the world with whom you have active contact and can network through the live sessions and some group tasks. In general, all fellow students, professors and university staff are very open. Questions are answered quickly and helpfully.
I myself have learned a lot during my time at ToU that will help me in my future business life and I am always excited and proud of myself when I finish a milestone and can start a new one. Everything that has been part of my course so far makes a big picture and definitely makes sense.
In terms of time, the course is definitely doable, even alongside work and/or children. You just have to structure yourself well and stick to a schedule.
I can only warmly recommend the course to anyone!
