Usmanu Danfodio University Sokoto (UDUS) stands out as one of the most peaceful universities in Nigeria, providing a conducive environment for academic pursuits. My experience during my studies was generally positive; however, I believe there are significant areas for improvement.

One major concern is the relationship between students and lecturers. Many students feel apprehensive about approaching lecturers, often facing embarrassment when seeking assistance. This dynamic creates a barrier that hinders open communication and support.

Additionally, there seems to be an emphasis on administering challenging exams rather than fostering a deeper understanding of the subject matter. This approach has led to a perception that some lecturers take pride in failing students, which is counterproductive to the primary goal of education.

I recommend that the university management focus on enhancing the educational system by promoting more positive interactions between students and lecturers. This could lead to a more enriching academic experience and better outcomes for students.
