The University of Nigeria Enugu Campus is majorly for Programmes like Health Sciences, Law, Architecture, Business administration to mention a few while that in Nsukka Campus is for other programmes. So, the first thing any visitor would notice is that everyone is putting on uniforms; white gowns, blue shirts and black trousers, white shirts, black trousers etc. All of these gives our school a professional feel to it. First timers are completely smitten by this, but as time goes on it becomes normal
Schooling in a Federal institution is not for the faint hearted, trust me. I am a 400l nursing student currently doing my IT in several hospitals. With the rising cost of transportation, it isn’t exactly easy although it is definitely fulfilling to finally start practicing all we’ve been taught.
My 300level would be the worst period of my time in this school. We did a course (Medical surgery nursing) that was so bulky that 8 lectures had to teach it. We did this course alongside 7 other voluminous courses in less than 3 months (our school is trying to make up for an 8 months strike that pushed the school calendar backwards).
There are some pros as well; networking, you get the opportunity to meet seasoned professionals, make new friends, learn how to function optimally when pressured.
University of Nigeria remains one of the best learning institutions in the country despite its shortcomings and a we consider it a thing of pride to be student or an alumni.
