I’m an undergraduate student in the Accountancy Department in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. I’m in the class of 2023. I was encouraged to apply to this University in 2019 for my undergraduate studies because it’s one of the most remarkable universities in Nigeria and also the first University in my country. My school graduated a lot of past leaders that helped in the national building. Another thing I’ll recommend any newcomer to my school to visit first is its Library (Nnamdi Azikiwe Library) which was named after our first President in Nigeria. The library is so spacious and well ventilated as it assists in proper assimilation. Lecture sessions are really great because lecturers try to make lessons interactive by indulging us in presentations and quizzes before or after the lessons. Lest I forget, the school environs are nice too and so airy. Accommodation provided by the school has very close proximity to classrooms and lecture halls, so even if you are running late, you still have hope of catching up soon. There’s no perfection, but I feel like my school can do better in reducing the amounts of their new intake during freshman year so as to reduce the congestion of classrooms.
