I am Martins Eno, a graduate of from the department of public administration in the university of Calabar. My experience with the university was quite a spectacular one, one I can’t forget in a hurry, one that taught me a lot of things and exposed my horizon to the real world.
While some would say their experience with the school was a challenging one, I would say those challenges were avenue to change my perception and hit me towards the right direction of life.
First, I graduated from a department where bribery for mark was at it lowest minimum, maybe because I never approach any lecturer to buy marks or scores and no lecturer approached me or sent a class rep to ask us for money to upgrade our scores. This act made me sit up and study to come out from the university with good grade, because I know, no lecturer would want to get money from me to pass me.
Another wonderful experience I had during my stay in the school was when I became the president of the department of public administration. Many thanks to my then HOD, Dr. Ijim Unoh Agbor. He took me in and taught me the rudiment of administration. As a one time SUG secretary from the university of Portharcourt, he also gave me some leadership tips to enable me transition my tenure smoothly. With some of his advice, I want about to handle that position smoothly untill I handed it to someone else.
All my lecturers were awesome. This poise me to go back to the same department for my Master’s programme after graduating. University is a citadel for great transformation.
