The lecturers in my department were amazing, they were the best, their mode of teaching and the passion in which they lecture students is amazing, the school is rated one of the best in Nigeria. One of the things I dislike about the school is the issue of late tuition payments, which caused alot of students to drop out and also repeated classes. Apart from that I enjoyed uniport most my lecturers.

I had the privilege of studying History and Diplomatic Studies at the University of Port Harcourt (2016-2021), and those years remain a defining chapter of my life. The academic experience was fulfilling, particularly the opportunity to explore borrowed courses from other departments, such as French, which enriched my understanding of cross-cultural communication. Although the French classes only lasted for my first year, they left a lasting impression on me.

However, the frequent academic strikes during my time at UNIPORT brought mixed feelings. While they disrupted the academic calendar and extended the duration of my studies, they also taught me resilience and adaptability—qualities I now appreciate deeply.

Beyond academics, I actively participated in school politics, contesting in both departmental and general school elections. This involvement sharpened my leadership and interpersonal skills, giving me a deeper understanding of governance and student representation.

What I cherish most are the friendships and connections I built along the way. The community I found at UNIPORT provided not only companionship but also valuable perspectives that shaped my worldview. Looking back, I realize how the experience of passing through UNIPORT has made me stand out among my peers, equipping me with a unique blend of academic, social, and leadership experiences.

While I have mixed feelings about pursuing a postgraduate degree within Nigeria due to the challenges I encountered, my undergraduate years at UNIPORT remain a cornerstone of my personal and professional growth.
